Our commitments

ballerine dans la ville

Working together to build mobility in the public interest mobility that is free, inclusive and sustainable.

Our purpose

Striving for mobility in the public interest means building a transportation network that serves the interests of every citizen in a user-friendly way while always defending common interests.

  • It means building liberated mobility, free from technological, budgetary and geographical limitations, and gives every user the opportunity to plan  their own mobility in the most efficient way possible.
  • It means building inclusive mobility that gives everyone the ability to connect with each other more easily, whatever their geographical, physical or economic situation.
  • It means building sustainable mobility that adapts to the environment without restrictions, one that supports the ecological transition towards more collective, softer and well-planned mobility.

Doing it all together with our employees and those who work every day to improve mobility.

Matawan in action

Since 2022, Matawan has been a signatory of the UN Global Compact. We are committed to a process of continuous improvement based on 10 principles relating to human rights, international labour standards, the environment and the fight against corruption.
Out of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Matawan’s approach is especially relevant to Goal 11: make cities inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable. We are committed to supporting this SDG, which promotes access to safe, accessible, affordable and sustainable transport systems for all, through the development of passenger transport, with a particular attention given to the needs of people in vulnerable situations.
Since 2022, Matawan has been part of the Coq Vert Community launched by Bpi France in partnership with ADEME (the French Environment and Energy Management Agency) and the French Ministry of Ecological Transition. Together, we are committed to pushing forward the ecological transition
Faced with the massive challenge that is climate change, Matawan has carried out its first carbon accounting to assess its greenhouse gas emissions (scopes 1, 2 and 3). We are committed to delivering an action plan that reduces the greenhouse gas emissions associated with our operations.
In order to limit energy consumption, Matawan has been implementing its own energy sobriety plan. We are committed to optimising temperature management and building lighting as well as reducing the energy consumption of digital equipment.
In 2022, Matawan signed the French Tech Mission’s Parity Pact and is committed to promoting gender equality and diversity within start-ups. We are committed to achieving a minimum threshold of women on the board, to training managers in diversity, discrimination and harassment issues, and to providing specific support when employees return from parental leave.
