UBITRANSPORT SIGNS THE UNITED NATIONS GLOBAL COMPACT
TO STRUCTURE ITS CSR STRATEGY
In 2022, Ubitransport became a signatory of the Global Compact, a globally recognised initiative created by the United Nations. This commitment marks a new step for Ubitransport and its corporate social responsibility strategy.
The Global Compact, an internationally recognised United Nations initiative
Created in 2000 by UN Secretary General, Kofi Annan, the United Nations Global Compact is a worldwide movement of organisations committed to sustainable development.
Ubitransport positions itself in this simple, universal and voluntary commitment framework which is based on ten principles relating to the respect of human rights, international labour standards, the environment and anti-corruption.
The Global Compact is also the starting point for supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and building the future of our societies together.
Ubitransport is committed to a process of continuous improvement
Joining the Global Compact commits Ubitransport to a process of continuous improvement which consists of integrating the principles of the Global Compact into its actions and processes, promoting them to its stakeholders and supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Ubitransport thus wishes to formalise and commit its CSR strategy towards more sustainable and responsible activities, to give legibility to its commitments and to positively contribute to improving our society.
Ubitransport’s CSR approach has already been rewarded with trophies from Climate Energy in the region Alpes-Maritimes and the region Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.
A clear purpose and values to guide Ubitransport’s CSR strategy
“Ubitransport defined its purpose and values in 2021 to align individual energies and actively contribute to tomorrow’s society by inventing a more efficient, sustainable and inclusive mobility” explains Laurence Medioni, CSR and Transformation Director at Ubitransport.
“Unlocking urban and intercity mobility, together”
To free mobility from geographical, technological, budgetary, but also social and environmental constraints to move towards a more fluid, sustainable and inclusive mobility.
Our goal is to connect communities across different cities and territories, thanks to all of our employees and associated stakeholders: customers, partners and mobility ecosystems.
Our purpose is a reminder of Ubitransport’s very existence and the trajectory it is pursuing. It echoes the 11th Sustainable Development Goal of the UN: “to make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable”.
In parallel, Ubitransport has also formalised 6 value phrases based on togetherness such as listening, team spirit, curiosity, ambition, boldness and commitment.
“Since 2022, Ubitransport has been committed to the United Nations Global Compact initiative and its 10 principles around human rights, labour standards, the environment and the fight against corruption”
